  1.                           The Geometry Aide
  2.                               Version 1.0
  3. 'The Geometry Aide' version 1.0 is a graphical mathematical geometry plotting 
  4. system.  It is not designed to be a tutorial, but rather an aide to a teacher 
  5. or tutor in instructing novice to intermediate geometry students.  Used alone 
  6. by a student it should only be expected to provide a visual correlation 
  7. between the equations (or physical parameters) of an object and its plotted 
  8. equivalent.  'The Geometry Aide' is designed to enhance a student's  
  9. understanding of the more abstract principles of mathematics.  'The 
  10. Geometry Aide' comes with default objects to graph which the student can
  11. modify by altering its physical characteristics through the use of parameter
  12. windows.  'The Geometry Aide' removes the fear of mistakes from the student
  13. by identifying all illegal values entered into an equation or field.  'The
  14. Geometry Aide' also allows the student to plot and create "custom" images
  15. through the use of its two and three dimensional plotters.

  17. 'The Geometry Aide' is a shareware program.  You are encouraged to make 
  18. copies of this program and pass them on to friends or post it on bulletin 
  19. boards or distribute it via disk catalog services provided the entire 
  20. 'The Geometry Aide' distribution is included in its original state. 
  21. Users are granted a 14 day trial use.  Should you find 'The Geometry Aide'
  22. useful, educational or entertaining and wish to use it beyond the 14 day
  23. trial period a registration fee should be sent to the author by completing
  24. the registration form in "INVOICE.TXT".  The registration fee is $20 and 
  25. is used to cover the cost of development and support.  As a registered user
  26. you will receive six months of technical support (By mail, Compuserve 
  27. Information Service or if you desire to initiate, by telephone) and a license 
  28. key affirming your registration.

  30. 'The Geometry Aide' requires 412KB of memory and a VGA display.  It will
  31. run on any IBM PC compatible with DOS 3.3+ but it is recommended to use 
  32. a 286 or better machine.

  34. 'The Geometry Aide' is comprised of the following files:

  36. GEOMETRY.EXE ->  The executable program.
  37. INVOICE.TXT  ->  Registration/technical support form.
  38. README.TXT   ->  Contains program description and requirements.
  39. VENDOR.TXT   ->  Contains basic agreement for distribution.
  40. HELP.TXT     ->  Contains instructions for running 'The Geometry Aide'.
  41. FILE_ID.DIZ  ->  Contains program description for BBSs.
  42. ASP.TXT      ->  Provides information for contacting the ASP Ombudsman.

  44. To install 'The Geometry Aide', copy the files into the directory of your 
  45. choice.  Type GEOMETRY to begin program execution.  Be sure and read
  46. the HELP.TXT file for more information concerning the smooth running 
  47. of 'The Geometry Aide'.
